Making their debut in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Gujarat Fortunegiants captain Sukesh Hegde feels his team will have an upper hand in their match against Delhi Dabang on Tuesday, given that the debutants are an untested side in the tournament.
"Raider Sachin Tawar, all-rounder Rohit Gulia and C. Kalai Arasan are first-timers in the PKL. Our opponents are not aware of their game," Hedge said.
"However, we have seen Delhi in action and have analysed theirs. So, naturally we are in an advantageous position," he added.
Hegde, who will play his 50th PKL match on Tuesday, also mentioned that he has a well-balanced side consisting of fellow raiders Mahendra Rajput, Sachin Tawar, Rakesh Narwal and overseas defenders Fazel Atrachali and Abozar Mighani.
"We have young and energetic raiders such as Mahendra Rajput, Sachin Tawar and Rakesh Narwal. We have worked hard on the defence front," the 28-year-old said.
"Fazel Atrachali and Abozar Mighani are seasoned players and are well aware of what is expected of them. Overall, we have got ourselves a well-balanced team," he added.
