SV Darmstadt 98 held Borussia Dortmund to a 2-2 draw while Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt shared the spoils to complete the seventh round of action in Bundesliga.

Second placed Dortmund dropped points again after suffering their second draw in a row on Sunday, reports Xinhua.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace wasn't enough to secure their sixth win of the season, as Darmstadt's Aytac Sulu grabbed a late equaliser.

It was all Dortmund in the first half but Darmstadt flabbergasted the hosts with the opening goal against the run of the game on 17 minutes with Marcel Heller volleying home from inside the box.

Dortmund piled on the pressure after the break and levelled the scores through Aubameyang at the 63rd minute.

The hosts gained momentum and grabbed the lead thanks to Aubameyang. The Gabon international slotted home a through ball to wrap up his brace and the ninth goal of the season eight minutes later.

But Darmstadt had an ace up their sleeve in Aytac Sulu, who capitalised on a rebound shot to equalise again.

Despite their second consecutive draw, Dortmund remained in the second place in the standings with a four-point gap to front-runners Bayern Munich. Darmstadt stayed in the ninth place.

Elsewhere, Berlin clinched a late 1-1 draw at Frankfurt thanks to the equaliser by Vladimir Darida, who cancelled out Alexander Meier's early strike.

With the result, Frankfurt remained winless in the last three games to remain in the 11th place while Berlin stayed in the joint ninth position.
