Filmmaker Omung Kumar and actor Darshan Kumaar, who were promoting their film "Sarbjit" here, have thanked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for his "warm hospitality".
"Sarbjit" is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan. He was attacked by inmates at a Lahore prison and killed in April 2013.
Actor Randeep Hooda will be essaying the character of Sarabjit.
Darshan, who plays the role of Sarabjit's lawyer in the film, said it was a pleasure meeting Akhilesh Yadav's family here.
"Had immense pleasure meeting Akhilesh Yadavji and family in Lucknow. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality Sir," Darshan tweeted.
The biopic, which also stars Richa Chadha, will be narrated through the perspective of the victim's sister Dalbir Kaur, played by Aishwarya Rai.
