The Delhi government on Friday offered a job to the sister of deceased journalist Akshay Singh in the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corp. (DSIIDC).

The Delhi-based journalist died mysteriously on July 4 in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh while covering the Vyapam recruitment scandal.

The sister, Pakshi Singh, has been offered the post of assistant manager (legal) in the DSIIDC, a government official said.

A letter of offer of appointment has been issued to Pakshi Singh on Friday, he said.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on July 8 announced a government job for Akshay Singh's sister.

Kejriwal, also Aam Aadmi Party chief, made the offer when he and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met the family of the deceased journalist.
