Delhi beat Rajashthan 13-0 in sub-junior hockey

Delhi registered its second win, thrashing Rajasthan 13-0 in the 4th Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship 2014 - (Division B) - here Monday.

In the Pool B match, Delhi started their shower of goals from the ninth minute and continued battering them till the 66th minute.

Delhi's Kuldeep who opened the account for the team in the 9th minute as well as stroked in the last goal. Kuldeep went on to become the highest scorer of the match as he contributed six goals for the team. Arun Kumar (34th, 40th) and Neeraj Kumar (59th, 60th) struck a brace each.

In another match of Pool C, after an embarrassing 12-1 defeat by Hockey Gangpur-Odisha, Uttarakhand beat Goa 9-0. Uttarakhand dominated the match from the sixth minute as Lokesh Bora made no mistake in converting a penalty corner and opening the account for the team. It was in the 27th and the 28th minute of the game when Uttarakhand took the lead further ahead by 3-0 with the help of Vishesh Kumar's successful penalty corner and Sarik Ali's field goal respectively.

 

The second half of the match saw Uttarakhand going all out and stroking one goal after the other from the 39th minute till the very last minute of the game. It was Lokesh Bora in the 6th and the 39th minute, Sarik Ali in the 28th and 47th minute and Saurabh Patwal in the 61st and the 70th minute who contributed a total of six goals out of nine goals in total to win the match by 9-0 on board.

Pool B: Delhi 13 Kuldeep (9, 17, 31, 42, 43, and 66 min), Arun Kumar (34 and 40 min), Neeraj Kumar (59 and 60 min), Mohit Anand (46 min), Aman Minj (56 min) and Sumit Panchal (63 min) Vs. Rajasthan 0.

Pool C: Uttarakhand 9 Lokesh Bora (6 and 39 min), Sarik Ali (28 and 47 min), Saurabh Patwal (61 and 70 min), Vishesh Kumar (27 min), Shahnawaz Hasan (50 min) and Siddharth Miyah (64 min) Vs. Goa 0.

Pool A: Bihar 10 Samir Minz (3 and 21 min), Subash Sanga (27 and 56min), Vinay Xess (54 min), Jony Kumar (62, 68 and 70 min), Binit Ekka (67 min), Anand Kumar Bara (69 min) Vs. Jammu & Kashmir 2 Manpreet Singh (14 min), Manik Sharma (30 min).
