A day after 10 people lost their lives in the collapse of an illegal building, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation Sunday launched action against old and unauthorised constructions.
Municipal commissioner Praveen Gupta directed officials to identify old buildings and issue eviction notice to their inhabitants.
He also directed officials to be more sensitive towards unauthorised constructions and issue notice to the owners immediately.
On Saturday, a four-storey illegally constructed building collapsed leaving 10 people dead and two injured in north Delhi's Tulsi Nagar area.
