Jaiveer was standing guard at the colony gate and stopped Sandeep and Deepak when they tried to enter. The two accused then started beating him up.
Later, some CISF residents of the colony handed the duo over to the police.
Sandeep of Dariyapur village in West Delhi was dismissed from service in May this year for trying to extract money from people while posing as a traffic constable.
"Both accused have been booked for murder," Rizvi said.
A CISF official said Jaiveer was inducted into the CISF in 1992 and was deputed as a security guard in the Bawana residential colony. He was on night duty from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. when the incident took place.
