The output of workers in Delhi is 30.44 percent higher than the national figure as per the Report on Annual Survey of Industries for the year 2010-2011 released Friday by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
The total output during 2010 to 2011 was Rs.48,687 crore, against Rs.42,359 crore in 2009-10.
Sheila Dikshit said: "Delhi is having 2,878 working factory units in the organised sector, which is only 1.67 percent of the all-India level. The average per employee emolument is also 11.44 percent higher than all-India figures for the year 2010-11."
The report is released by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Delhi and could prove useful for researchers, policy-makers and for an objective evaluation of the industrial sector.
