Delhi government to reconvene assembly session from August 8

The Delhi government on Wednesday decided to reconvene the ongoing monsoon session of the Assembly from August 8.

"The Cabinet approved the convening of the next part of the ongoing Session of the VIth Vidhan Sabha from August 8-11," reads a release.

The Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal headed cabinet also approved the proposal to increase the bed strength of Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) from existing 155 to 549 beds.

"Besides, the increase in number of beds, super speciality, teaching and training facility and advance research facility with semi-automated parking and emergency facilities like helipad are being created in the institute," as per the release.

 

The Delhi government also gave its approval to the revision of metro project estimates from Rs 389 crore to Rs 497 crore as per the latest estimates furnished by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

It also reiterated its decision to provide Rs one crore to Late Ram Kishen Grewal, ex-serviceman in the ex-gratia scheme as an exception. The decision will be sent to the Lieutenant Governor for his approval, as per the release.
