The Delhi Metro on Friday began trials on the Violet Line extension between Escorts Mujesar and Ballabhgarh.
Ballabhgarh would be the fourth city in Haryana after Gurugram, Faridabad, and Bahadurgarh to have metro connectivity, once the section opens for public.
At present the Violet Line run from Escorts Mujeser in Faridabad to Kashmere Gate.
"Trial runs were started today on the 3.2 km long section from Escorts Mujesar till Ballabhgarh. This extension of Delhi Metro's Violet Line consists of two stations -- NCB Colony and Ballabhgarh," the Delhi Metro Rail Corp said in a statement.
"The section is slated for opening in September/October subject to approval by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety," it added.
