The Delhi Metro Tuesday shutdown two of its stations here due to an expected religious gathering on a disputed land.

The two stations are Jor Bagh and INA, which fall on the Yellow Line, connecting Huda City Centre to Jahangirpuri.

"As advised by Delhi Police, the two Metro station have been closed for public from 10.17 a.m. till further instructions," said a Delhi Metro official.

The two Metro stations were also shut March 31 for fear of vandalism after crowds gathered at the disputed site in the vicinity of Delhi's two historic monuments -- the Lodhi Garden and the Safdarjang Tomb.

Delhi Police Monday issued an advisory on a possibility of some Muslim protestors staging demonstrations at several places against the acquisition of Karbala land in Jor Bagh area.
