Delhi Metro will soon get 400 more feeder buses as the government has sanctioned Rs.6 crore for these, an official statement said Wednesday.
"As many as 400 more feeder buses are proposed to be added to the existing fleet of 117 Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) feeder buses on 16 routes. The transport department has sanctioned Rs.6 crore for this," the Delhi transport department statement said.
The buses have a seating capacity of 27 passengers each.
The department has also issued 24 permits to these feeder buses on four routes.
Meanwhile, the DMRC assured that these buses will be inducted within four-five days.
"DMRC is making arrangements to display passenger-related information in these buses and route-related information for the public on web and mobiles," another DMRC statement said.
