The Delhi Metro will sell entry tickets for the upcoming India International Trade Fair (IITF) from Nov 14, it said Wednesday.

The tickets for business days (Nov 14-18) will be sold from Nov 14, while those for general public days (Nov 19-27) will be sold from Nov 19.

The Delhi Metro service would run at a peak hour frequency of 2 minutes 45 seconds on the line running between Dwarka and Yamuna Bank stations, throughout the day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., from Nov 19 to Nov 27.

"Besides this, two trains will also be kept as standby during the Trade Fair to facilitate better passenger handling, whenever required," the Delhi Metro said in a statement.

The entry tickets for general public days will be available at all Metro stations except the Airport Express Line, where tickets will be available only at the Dhaula Kuan station.

However, tickets for business days will be available from 30 metro stations: Rithala, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, Anand Vihar, Central Secretariat, Inderlok, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba Road, Saket, MG Road, Noida Sector 15, Vaishali, Laxmi Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri West, Dwarka Mor, Dwarka Sector 9, Dwarka Sector 21, Mundka, Peeragarhi, Punjabi Bagh, Badarpur, Govindpuri, Lajpat Nagar, Mandi House, Janpath and Dhaula Kuan.

IITF tickets for both business and general days can be purchased from the customer care centres at the stations from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all days.

The Delhi Metro will also operate 20 token/smart card counters from within the IIFT premises, near gate number 10 of Pragati Maidan, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on all general public days.

However, the tickets are day specific and no advance tickets will be available.

"The Delhi Metro is expecting massive crowds to use the Pragati Maidan Metro station and, therefore, additional ticket counters will be opened at the station. Additional officers and staff, customer facilitation agents and security staff will also be deployed at all stations," the statement said.

"At Pragati Maidan Metro station, the fair tickets will be available only for Metro users. People coming from outside the Metro premises need to buy the tickets from gate number 1 and 2 of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)," it added.
