Delhi Police on Saturday nabbed a dreaded criminal associated with the Joga gang, along with his aide, from the national capital when they were allegedly planning to commit a "huge robbery", police said.
Ajay, 42, also known as Jitender and Jeetu, is a named accused in several cases of robbery and murder.
Ajay, along with his accomplice Bhola, 25, was arrested as police got a tip-off that the two would be meeting at Bada Park in Sector 20 of Rohini in west Delhi to hatch a robbery plan.
"Acting on this information, the team laid a trap at the given place and nabbed the two criminals," a statement from Delhi Police said.
Both of them were found carrying 9mm sophisticated pistols with live cartridges at the time of arrest.

"During interrogation, the accused disclosed that he had studied up to Class VIII and due to poor economic condition of his family, he got involved in petty offences. Later, he came in contact with a robber, Joginder, who is his cousin," the statement read.
"The accused is the most desperate member of the gang as he never hesitates to fire if anyone opposes during the time of commission of robbery since he is short-tempered," it added.
