Delhi Police gets Rs.4,630 crore for upgrading force

Delhi Police has been allocated Rs.4,630 crore for upgrading the force during the 2014-15 financial year according to the interim budget proposals presented in Lok Sabha Monday.

Of the total amount, Rs.40.59 crore was earmarked for plan and Rs.4,590.29 for non-plan expenditure.

An amount of Rs.11.37 crore has been allocated for developing traffic and communications network in the National Capital Region mega cities and model traffic system while Rs.11.50 crore has been earmarked for installing traffic signals.

An amount of Rs.4 crore has been given for upgrading training in the force.
