Delhi sees respite from cold on Sunday, Monday likely to be pleasant

A day after the capital saw its coldest morning, the rise in mercury on Sunday gave residents of national capital some respite from the cold wave with the maximum temperature at 24 degrees Celsius and minimum to 8.6. Monday is also expected to be pleasant.

According to the weather office, the minimum temperature will further rise on Monday as well making the day pleasant, with there also are some chances of drizzle.

"On Monday, the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 10 degree Celsius and maximum temperature at 23 degrees," an official from Indian Meteorological Department told IANS.

The national capital on Monday would also see moderate fog, the IMD forecast stated. Though it added that the rising tempreature would further drop from Tuesday onwards, continuing for few days.

 

Saturday was the coldest morning of the season in national capital with minimum temperature recorded at 3.4 degrees, while the maximum was 19.3 degrees Celsius.
