A blanket of smog enveloped Delhi on Monday while the maximum temperature was recorded four notches above average at 23.2 degrees Celsius. The met department has forecast dense fog on Tuesday morning and a cloudy day ahead.
"Tuesday morning is likely to see dense fog and the day may remain cloudy," said an official from the Indian Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
Monday's minimum temperature was one notch above average at 8 degrees Celsius.
