The government targets Rs 46,739 crore through TDS from the Delhi region in 2016-17, which is 41 per cent of the overall target, a top Income Tax official said here on Tuesday.

"Our target as on date is about Rs 46,739 crore from Delhi region out of Rs 1,15,000 crore, the overall target for current fiscal," Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-TDS Nutan Sharma said while inaugurating a seminar on 'Tax Deduction At Source (TDS)' organised by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham).
