Here come diaper sensors that would let you know when your toddler needs to change!
In addition to use in infants' diapers, the technology can be applied to adult nappies - a big-seller in many countries, say developers.
A team led by professors Takayasu Sakurai and Takao Someya from University of Tokyo invented this disposable organic sensor that can be embedded in a diaper and wirelessly let you know it needs changing.
If sensing is done electronically, you can tell simply by coming close to the toddler, the developers were quoted as saying.
The technology could also be put on the skin like a plaster to monitor pulse and blood oxygen levels.
