Dikshit's son-in-law sent to police custody

A court here on Tuesday sent former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's estranged son-in-law to two days police custody in a case of theft and misappropriating his wife's property.

Metropolitan Magistrate allowed Delhi Police to quiz Syed Mohammad Imran till Thursday.

Imran was brought here on transit remand after his arrest in Bengaluru.

The police have sought two days custody of Imran saying they have to recover the stolen articles.

Dikshit's daughter Latika had accused Imran of domestic violence and filed a complaint in June.

She alleged that Imran took away jewellery and other expensive items from her residence.

Latika and Imran, who got married in 1996, had been living separately for the last 10 months.

 

Imran has beem booked for dishonest misappropriation of property, criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and cheating and also under the Information Technology Act.
