Actor Pankit Thakker, who is currently seen as Dhyaan in "Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant", says not many shows of today's times have been able to maintain the vast fan following that popular TV show "Dill Mill Gayye" did during its run.
"Dill Mill Gayye", which was a sequel to "Sanjivani -- A Medical Boon", featured Mohnish Bahl, Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi as doctors. The show started in August 2007 and came to an end in October 2010.
"'Dill Mill Gayye' is and will always remain dear to my heart. I am happy to have been part of a show that is being remembered years after it started. Not too many shows have maintained such a vast fan following," Pankit said in a statement.
The show was based on the new generation of medical interns and focused on the love story of doctor Armaan Malik (Karan) and doctor Riddhima Gupta (Jennifer).
In "Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant", which is aired on Life OK, Pankit plays the younger brother of protagonist Shaan (Karan V Grover).
The show narrates the story of a genius and a female robot Rajni (played by Ridhima Pandit).
