Jeffrey Ian Pollack, who directed "Booty Call", was found dead on a running trail in Hermosa Beach, California. He was 54.

Pollack, who also co-produced Will Smith-starrer "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", was already dead when a woman reported finding his body on the area known as the Greenbelt on Monday. He was believed to be an avid runner, reports variety.com.

For several years, Pollack partnered with his friend and business partner Benny Medina, on whose life "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," was based.

The two formed a management company Handprint Entertainment with clients including singers Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.

He was also credited for shows like "The Tyra Banks Show" and "The Fighting Temptations".

He directed and co-wrote the 1994 basketball drama "Above the Rim", the 1997 comedy "Booty Call" and 1999 comedy "Lost and Found".

Pollack had also been working with Jeff Beacher, who produced the Beacher's Madhouse shows.
