Ex-separatist and People's Conference leader Sajjad Lone Monday denied any alliance with the BJP for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls and said his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was only regarding the relief work by the Centre for the damage caused by the floods in the valley.
"I met Prime Minister Modi as a Kashmiri and discussed the relief work for people who suffered in the Kashmir flood. I had a list of demands that was discussed. There was nothing political," Lone told reporters here following the meeting.
"The prime minister's response was very positive. I told him that there is need for a holistic approach to solve the problems caused by the floods in Kashmir. Modi-ji has promised for a greater Kashmir ahead," said Lone.
"Some of the topics discussed were investment in tourism, infrastructure, trade and hospitals, which is very important for the Valley," Lone added.
