American Rapper Earl Simmons, professionaly known as DMX, has been charged by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) with not paying his taxes.
"DMX was charged on 14 counts, including one count of corruptly endeavouring to obstruct and impede the due administration of Internal Revenue Laws, one count of evasion of payment of income taxes, six counts of evasion of assessment of income tax liability, and six counts of failure to file a US individual income tax return," reported aceshowbiz.com.
The rapper turned himself to federal authorities on charges of tax fraud.
The indictment states that the star concealed millions of dollars of income from the IRS and failed to pay 1.7 million dollars in taxes.
The 46-year-old also has a long history of previous brushes with the law. He had at least 15 driving arrests and other arrests ranging from drug possession, animal cruelty to probation violations and more.
