RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday asked the BJP not to give sermons on morality after the Congress and the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) agreed to form a government in Karnataka.

The Bharatiya Janata Party taunted the Congress in Karnataka, saying it was trying to remain in power despite being rejected by the electorate. The Congress finished at the second spot in a hung Assembly after the BJP. The JD-S came third.

"Is it not a fact that the mandate was against the BJP in Bihar in 2015? But the BJP with the help of Nitish Kumar became the ruling party last year. And it is today giving sermons on moral and ethical values in democracy," Tejashwi Yadav said.

Tejashwi Yadav also tweeted that though the RJD was the single largest party in Bihar after Nitish Kumar broke his alliance, it was not called by the Governor to form government.

"Let's see what happens in Karnataka," he added.
