Delhi Health Minister A.K. Walia Friday said the issues concerning development and public interests should not be politicised.
"There should be no politics in public interest and development issues," Walia said while laying the foundation for two pedestrian bridges in Laxmi Nagar in east Delhi, from where he is a Congress legislator.
He said that the trans-Yamuna area, largely inhabited by the poor, has been witnessing an all-round development.
He added that with new additions of foot overbridges, under passes, public conveniences and gardens being developed, Lakshmi Nagar is becoming a "model colony".
