US President-elect Donald Trump has been named as Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2016, BBC reported on Wednesday.
The property tycoon took the title after winning an unexpected victory over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in November's presidential election.
Trump told NBC's Today show shortly after the announcement that it was a "great honour" which "meant a lot" to him.
He was chosen from a shortlist that also included Hillary Clinton and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
