Manchester City's new manager Pep Guardiola has said the door was not closed for stars like Joe Hart and Yaya Toure although they were not in the starting squad in the club's English Premier League football opener against Sunderland.
City began their journey under Guardiola with a hard-earned 2-1 win on Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Also in doubt for their future at the Etihad Stadium were French internationals Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri, as they were out for City's Champions League play-off match at Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday.
But Guardiola said after the match: "I don't have any complaints about these names. Yaya trained really, really good."
"I decide for this line-up today. That doesn't mean in the future they are not going to play. In Barcelona, in (Bayern) Munich, it was difficult to repeat a line-up."
"It's not that Joe cannot play or Yaya or Sami or Mangala. But today I decide for that, for many reasons."
