German football club Borussia Dortmund have made a 12 million euro bid for highly rated Brazil playmaker Bernard.
The Bundesliga side's sporting director Michael Zorc this week met officials from Bernard's club Atletico Mineiro to negotiate a move, reports Xinhua.
The 20-year-old is seen as a candidate to replace German international midfielder Mario Gotze, who Dortmund have sold to Bayern Munich for 37 million euros.
Considered one of the most promising midfielders in Brazil, Bernard is renowned for his speed, slick passing and scoring ability.
He made his debut for Brazil's national team in a penalty shootout victory over Argentina at the Bombonera in Buenos Aires last November.
