Many parts of Uttar Pradesh, including the state capital, received heavy rainfall on Tuesday, bringing a respite from the humid weather.
The Met Office has forecast the day will be rainy.
Many commuters and school children were caught en route in the rainfall. The downpour also lead to waterlogging in many areas, including Indiranagar, Gomtinagar, Gokhale Marg and Narhi.
A few others enjoyed the rains which brought relief from a fortnight of hot and humid weather.
"Nothing to complaint as long as it brings down the temperature," said Faiz Ali, a management student.
The morning rain here also brought down the temperature to 28 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
