Self-confessed killer medico Santosh Pol on Friday revealed that the body of the sixth victim -- Vanita N. Gaikwad -- was also buried in his poultry farmhouse complex and not dumped in the Krishna river as he had earlier claimed, an official said.
Immmediately after his revelations during interrogation, a police team took Pol to the farmhouse where he pinpointed the location of the 10-year-old grave in one congested corner on which a large fig tree now stands.
The fig tree and other obstacles prevented the police team from digging the spot and later a civic team was called which finally dug out a skeletaon from the spot shown by Pol.
A team of forensic experts from Mumbai's KEM Hospital, which reached Wai on Thursday, is conducting tests on the skeleton to establish the victim's identity.
Incidentally, since Wednesday, police teams were scouring the Krishna river from Umbrej to Karad to trace out the body which he claimed was thrown in a reservoir on August 12, 2006.
Pol had killed Gaikwad by administering her a lethal injection in an ambulance that day, a decade ago.
