A group of 150 bikes will ride across the city on Saturday to kickstart Dr Reddy's Foundation's nation-wide campaign to draw attention to the rights of people with disabilities.
The "Breaking barriers at workplace" campaign of the CSR arm of pharma major Dr Reddy's Laboratories is aimed at encouraging an inclusive and diverse workforce as a curtain raiser to mark International Day for Persons with Disabilities, observed on December 3.
The campaign will travel to 12 states over 12 months and touch the cities where Dr. Reddy's Foundation operates training centres for persons with disabilities.
"At each of these cities, we will partner with the bikers fraternity and PwD (persons with disabilities) supporters to conduct similar rallies and will organize workshops for employers to sensitize as well as encourage them to endorse an inclusive workforce," said Satish Reddy, Chairman of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and of Dr. Reddy's Foundation
The campaign will come to a close on the International Day for Persons with Disability 2018.
