Driven out of home by sons, complains Arjun Singh's wife

The widow of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Union Minister Arjun Singh on Tuesday accused her sons Ajay and Abhimanyu Singh of forcing her out of home by violence.

Ajay Singh, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, was unavailable for comment.

In a plea filed in the district court here, Saroj Singh said: "My sons Ajay Singh and Abhimanyu Singh resorted to domestic violence to drive me out of my home and have refused to provide me any support."

She has sought the court ensure her rights.

In a press release, Saroj Singh said that her late husband had followed the party's principles all his life and always helped women and the helpless, "but ignoring these principles, Ajay Singh has evicted me from the house, due to which I have to live in various places".

 

Arjun Singh owned a palatial house here named "Kerva Kothi" and Saroj Singh has asked the court to take away its possession from Ajay Singh.
