Delhi University (DU) has received over two lakh online applications for admission to its undergraduate courses, officials said here on Wednesday.
"Until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the seventh day of online registration for undergraduate admissions at DU, total registration stood at 2,00,411," an official said.
"Out of these, 1,13,614 had already deposited their fees. Since the online admission process began, the university has received 75,082 applications in the general category, 24,834 under other backward classes (OBC), 11,277 under scheduled caste (SC), 2,190 under scheduled tribe (ST) and 249 in Persons With Disability (PWD) category," a university official said.
The online registrations began on May 28 and will continue till June 15.
The offline registration will start from June 5. The eight centres for offline registration are Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PGDAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Lal College and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College.
The admission process is for nearly 54,000 seats in 61 affiliated colleges. The first cut-offs will be released on June 25.
