Seventh seed Farrukh Dustov and eighth seed Alexander Kudryavtsev of Russia entered the second round of men's singles of the Tashkent Challenger at the Olympic Tennis School complex here Monday.
Local player Dustov, ranked 129, struggled against the 185th-ranked Moldavian Radu Albot but won 6-7(1), 7-6(3), 7-6(1) in two hours and 44 minutes while the 130th ranked Kudryavstev tamed local lad Djurabeck Karimov 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 35 minutes.
In another first round match, Russian Evgeny Donskoy downed Temur Ismailov 7-5, 6-4 in an hour and 20 minutes.
Fourth seeded left-hander Adrian Mannarino of France saw off wildcard Sanjar Fayziev 6-4, 6-2 to make it to the Round of 16.
In men's doubles, Fayziev-Temur Ismailov went down to the Italian pair of Andrea Arnaboldi and Riccardo Ghedin 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 to make it to the quarter-finals.
Spaniard Adrian Menendez-Maceiras and Aleksandr Nedovyesov of Kazakhstan beat fourth seeded Chinese Taipei pair of Ti Chen and Hsien-Yin Peng 6-4, 6-3.
