A Right To Information (RTI) activist on Friday alleged that the school certificate and graduation degree of a Haryana Minister submitted during elections were fake and urged the Election Commission to cancel his membership of the Assembly.
RTI activist Harender Dhingra alleged at a press conference that the Bachelor Of Arts (BA) degree of the cabinet Minister was fake.
"The Minister is in Delhi for an important meeting and I am not aware of the facts," an aide to the Minister told IANS.
Dhingra said the facts were revealed after he sought information regarding the educational qualification of the Minister.
Dhingra said he filed the RTI on May 24, 2017 but the request was rejected, saying the matter was personal and not related to public interest.
"I filed a second appeal... Finally, the State Information Commission ordered I should be provided the information on February 6, 2018," Dhingra said.
