"The officials were transferred following alleged violation of the model code of conduct," a Election Commission official told IANS.
Those transferred include district magistrate of Sipahijala and sub-divisional magistrates of Dharmanagar, Kamalpur, Jirania and Sonamura and Udaipur.
"We had to transfer these officials and bar them from election-related duties following directives of the Election Commission. The commission took the decision after probing complaints against them," said the official.
Opposition Congress had filed the complaints against the officers.
