"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke says she was "so excited" to see that popular character Jon Snow, played by actor Kit Harington, was resurrected on the HBO fantasy series.
In an interview to Daily Star Sunday, the actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit drama, shared that some of her macho rugby player friends were left in tears when the beloved character was brought back to life, reports mirror.co.uk.
The 29-year-old said: "It's silly but I was so excited. I have rugby player friend that have been reduced to tears. It's sad, but it's beautiful and it was a special thing."
She continued: "The response from the viewers has been really overwhelming."
Snow was resurrected by Melisandre on the second episode of season six of "Game of Thrones", a revelation that caps 10 months of worldwide speculation following Snow's death at the hands of his Night's Watch brothers in last year's finale.
Clarke also admitted that she is finding the suspense of the new series intense.
