Three-time Emmy Award winner Mark Zaslove loves to write stories for children. As part of Children's Day celebrations, the gifted writer has written 30 beautiful stories for Indian startup Bulbul Apps.
The Zaslove series of stories include "Princess and the Pea", "The Pied Piper", "Bath Time", "The Baby goes to Market" and "Potty Potty".
"I've always been fascinated by the crossroads between education and entertainment. Being on the Bulbul board of directors allows me to further my quest for next millennial ways of bringing knowledge to future generations in a fun and interesting fashion," Zaslove said in a statement.
Describing the stories in Bulbul Apps library, its founder and director Prakash Dantuluri said: "Children's stories should be explorations of life -- not school lessons. We hope each child will celebrate every single story the master writer Zaslove has written on their digital devices".
"What's unique about Mark is that before he starts writing, he knows his characters thoroughly," Dantuluri added.
Mark Zaslove started out in animation screenwriting in the mid 1980s, working on Disney movies like "The Fox and the Hound", "The Black Cauldron" and "The Little Mermaid".
By the late 1980s he had become a staff writer for Walt Disney television animation, working on many of the well-known Disney cartoons from that era.
