A 30-year-old engineer committed suicide by shooting himself with his elder brother's pistol as he was depressed over his job, police said on Monday.
Mohammed Ashfaq shot himself in his chest at his residence in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area on Sunday.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.
"A suicide note was recovered from Ashfaq's possession in which he expressed dissatisfaction with his job. He felt that he was not a good engineer. He was not happy with his professional life," said a police official.
Police said he worked at the Maruti car company in Gurgaon and came to his Delhi home on weekends.
In Delhi, Ashfaq lived with his parents and two elder brothers. One of them is an advocate and practices in the Karkardooma court while the other is also an engineer.
"Ashfaq used the revolver of one of his elder brothers to kill himself," said the official.
