England beat Poland 2-0 to qualify for next year's World Cup finals as Group H leaders at Wembley here.

Wayne Rooney opened the scoring Tuesday after 41 minutes with a header while captain Steven Gerrard sealed the win two minutes from time by tucking the ball into the bottom of the net after a solo run, reports Xinhua.

England topped the group with 22 points and Ukraine, who defeated San Marino in an another game, finished second with 21 points.
