Authorities on Wednesday shifted the body of a former army man who committed suicide over OROP to Lady Hardinge hospital for the post-mortem, officials said.
The body of Ram Kishan Grewal was earlier kept at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, where a large number of politicians gathered on Wednesday to meet the dead man's relatives.
Reacting to the rush of political leaders at the RML, Medical Superintendent of RML Hospital A.K. Gadpayle said that hospital functioning was being affected.
"I cannot understand why there is so much police in the hospital, and why so many people are coming here since morning. This is obstructing us from performing our duties," he told reporters.
Gadpayle added that the family of Grewal had also been informed that the body has been shifted to Lady Hardinge.

RML spokesperson V.K. Sinha said that Grewal's body was brought to the hospital at 1 a.m. on Wednesday and was shifted to Lady Hardinge at 5.30 a.m. for the post mortem.
"With so many people visiting here, it is causing a lot of inconvenience to patients," Sinha told IANS.
Many political leaders, including Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, visited RML hospital on Wednesday.
While Sisodia was detained from inside the hospital after meeting the relatives of Grewal, Gandhi was not allowed to enter the hospital by the Delhi Police.
