Israel's Minister of Science, Technology and Space Ofir Akunis and Union Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday inaugurated an exhibition on the scientific and technological achievements of Israel.
The exhibition titled 'Israeli discoveries and developments that influenced the world' has been organised by the Israeli Ministry of Science, Technology and Space and the National Council of Science Museum at the National Science Centre here.
Speaking on the occasion, Akunis said: "This exhibition brings to you the history of the scientific enterprise which is a part of Jewish legacy which started long before the establishment of the state of Israel."
"Many of Israel's achievements are based on establishment of scientific infrastructure, scientific technological and human potential, which has evolved with the growth and the development of the state. Behind each and every achievement exhibited are years of research and development in various science and technology fields," Akunis said.
The Israeli Minister referred to the exhibition as an opportunity for Indians to get familiar with Israel's innovations.
Harsh Vardhan said India and Israel are celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relations next year. There is a plan to take this exhibition to 25 different places in India, he said.
