Expelled Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Vinod Kumar Binny Wednesday said he has informed Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung that he has withdrawn his support to the Delhi government.

"I had given the Delhi government 48 hours to fulfill the demands, but till now they have not responded. So as announced, I am going to withdraw my support," Binny told IANS.

Binny also said he has sought time from the Lt. Governor to meet him.

As Jung is out of the country, he said the letter was posted to his office.

"I have posted a letter to his office. But I hope the reply will come soon," he said.

The legislator had demanded the rollback of six-eight percent surcharge on power, supplying 700 litres of water daily per family without any conditions and a probe against corrupt people named by the party in its poll campaign.

The AAP won 28 seats in the 70-member house in the December elections and formed the government with outside support of the Congress, which won eight seats.

Of the AAP's 28 lawmakers, one was elected speaker while Binny was expelled for anti-party activities, bringing the party's effective strength down to 26.
