Police have recovered explosives and bomb-making materials from an office of the Jamaat-e-Islami in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka.
Police officer Morshed Alam said that a raid was conducted at the party's Paltan office in the city around 1.30 p.m. Wednesday.
A police patrol, which was passing by the area, became suspicious after seeing a car parked in front of the office, he said, bdnews24.com reported.
Explosives, bomb-making material and leaflets were found from the first floor of the building that houses the office.
Alam said that only some of the office staffers were in the office. No one was detained during the raid.
