Girl students seeking admission to different undergraduate courses in Delhi University have a reason to cheer as a total of 14 colleges are now offering extra concession on the cutoff to them.
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam (ARSD) College, Dyal Singh College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (evening), Shyam Lal college and Shivaji College will give three percent concession on the cutoff, on all courses offered by them.
Motilal Nehru College (evening) is offering concession of five percent in all its courses.
However, Shyam Lal College (evening) and Deen Dyal Upadhyaya College are giving concession of two percent.
"The varsity had received request from the colleges for the added concession and this has been approved," Malay Neerav, DU joint dean students welfare and media co-ordinator told IANS.

Ram Lal Anand (day and evening) College, Ramanujan College, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College and Swami Shraddhanand College are offering concession, ranging from two to three percent, in selected courses.
"The only motive behind asking for special concession is to promote education among the girls and bring them to study these subjects," Vijay. K. Sharma, principal of Ram Lal Anand College told IANS.
Ram Lal Anand College gives concession in commerce, geology, history and political science subjects.
Even for selective courses, Motilal Nehru College will be giving concession as high as five percent in hindi, sanskrit, political science and physics; three percent for english and history and one percent for commerce.
