For the small screen world, Divyanka Tripathi is a prisoner and Vivek Dahiya is a policeman, but off-screen they are love birds. And fans of the television couple want the duo to romance on celluloid as well through "Ye Hai Mohabbatein".
Divyanka, whose character is named Ishita, and Vivek, who is seen as an honest police officer, got engaged last month. And according to a source, the production house is flooded with fans' requests to make them an on-screen pair in the Star Plus show.
The source added that Vivek's role in the show is getting more prominence, and becoming central to the story line.
"Divyanka and Vivek have become the most sought after television couple. With Divyanka choosing to get married to Vivek, it has led to Vivek's role getting more prominent in the show. With each passing episode his role is only getting stronger.
"The couple is getting to spend more quality time on the sets; we may soon incorporate a sequence showing Divyanka and Vivek's on-screen chemistry since we are flooded with requests from fans to see them on-screen together," the source said.
If talk is anything to go by, the show makers can include the romantic angle. They are planning to include a track where Ishita will make her husband, played by Karan Patel, jealous with the help of Vivek's character.
