Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali handed in his resignation Monday following a poor start to their 2014 Formula 1 season.
"Ferrari notes the resignation of Stefano Domenicali and thanks him for having served the company for 23 years," read a company statement, reports Xinhua.
The Italian has been under pressure since drivers Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen failed to produce a top-3 finish in the opening three races.
Domenicali, who replaced Frenchman Jean Todt as team principal Jan 1, 2008, only managed one constructors' title the same year during his reign.
