Feyenoord keep lead with late point at Utrecht

Dutch football league leaders Feyenoord salvaged a point drawing 3-3 against FC Utrecht after a dramatic final phase of the match.

Sebastien Haller gave Utrecht an early lead on Sunday, but Feyenoord captain Dirk Kuyt produced the equaliser. After half-time, Giovanni Troupee and Haller earned Utrecht a 3-1 advantage, but the visitors managed to bounce back once again, reports Xinhua.

Nicolai Jorgensen scored in the 90th minute, and nine minutes into injury-time substitute Michiel Kramer staved away defeat with a header.

Earlier on Sunday, Ajax secured a late goal to secure a 1-0 victory at sc Heerenveen. Ajax scored through Davu Klaassen in the 71st minute.

 

Also on Sunday, AZ crushed Heracles Almelo 5-1 in Alkmaar.

On Saturday, PSV Eindhoven prevented a deeper crisis. The reigning champions beat ADO Den Haag 3-1 in Eindhoven.

After 14 rounds of matches, Feyenoord lead the Eredivisie with 33 points, as much as second-placed Ajax, but the Rotterdam-based side has a better goal difference.
