Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) continued to invest in the Indian equities market which closed flat Thursday.
Data with the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) showed that foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought Rs.305.60 crore or $50.37 million in the local equity markets.
Domestic institutional investors (DIIs), including banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), insurance and mutual funds, bought net stocks worth Rs.63.74 crore.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 26,322.66 points, closed at 26,360.11 points, up 45.82 points or 0.17 percent from the previous day's close at 26,314.29 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too closed flat. It was marginally up at 0.20 percent at 7,891.10 points.
